Refunds & Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy for Making Waves Okoboji – Captained Cruises
At Making Waves Okoboji, we strive to provide a seamless experience for all our guests. Before booking, please review our cancellation and refund policy below:
Cancellation Notice: To receive a full refund, cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to the scheduled cruise date.
No Refunds: Cancellations made less than 7 days before the cruise, as well as no-shows, will not be eligible for any refund.
Weather Policy: In the event of inclement weather or unsafe conditions, our Captains reserve the right to cancel cruises for safety reasons. Customers will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
Rescheduling: Guests wishing to reschedule their cruise must provide at least 7 days’ notice and will be accommodated based on availability.
Notification: All cancellations and requests to reschedule must be communicated via email or phone to be eligible for any refunds.

Coolers: Guests are welcome to bring coolers aboard. However, please ensure that they are not excessively large to maintain comfort and space for all guests.
Alcohol Consumption: Guests are permitted to bring their own alcohol for personal consumption on board. We encourage responsible drinking.
Beverage Restrictions: Glass bottles are not permitted on the boat for safety reasons. Please use cans or plastic containers.
Age Restrictions: Guests must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcoholic beverages. Valid identification may be required.
Service Staff: Our crew observes guests’ alcohol consumption and reserves the right to refuse service or require the cessation of alcohol consumption if any guest appears to be intoxicated or disrupts the experience for others.
Responsibility: Guests are responsible for their belongings, including coolers and alcohol. Making Waves Okoboji is not liable for lost or damaged items.

No Diving! Swimming at Your Own Risk
Swimming and No Diving Policy for Making Waves Okoboji – Captained Cruises
At Making Waves Okoboji, we prioritize the safety and well-being of all our guests. Please review our swimming and no diving policy below:
Swimming: Guests are allowed to swim AT THEIR OWN RISK during designated stops in safe areas as determined by our crew. This enhances your experience while maintaining safety.
No Diving: Diving from the boat or any associated structures is strictly prohibited. This rule is in place to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all guests.
Safety Guidelines: Guests must adhere to all safety guidelines provided by the crew. This includes wearing life jackets when swimming, following designated swim areas, and listening to instructions from your Captain.
Supervision: Children under the age of 18 must be supervised by an adult while swimming.
Approval from Crew: Swimming activities must be approved by the crew before entering the water. Any swimming must only occur in designated and safe areas.
Health Precautions: Guests with health conditions that could affect their ability to swim are encouraged to consult with a medical professional before participating in any swimming activity.

Yes, We're Pet Friendly
Pet Policy for Making Waves Okoboji – Captained Cruises
Your Pets are welcome aboard private cruises, with these conditions in mind:
- Domesticated dogs and cats are welcome. Other small, well-behaved pets may be allowed at your Captain’s discretion.
- Maximum two pets per reservation unless otherwise approved.
- Pets must be healthy, non-aggressive, and house-trained.
- Crew will indicate allowed areas at boarding.
- Owners are responsible for immediately cleaning up all pet waste on board and disposing of it in provided receptacles.
- Owners must ensure pets do not disturb other guests (barking, aggression, excessive agitation).
- The Captain or Crew have final authority to refuse boarding or remove a pet (and its owner) if the pet poses a safety or health risk or is uncontrollably disruptive. No refund will be issued for removal due to behavior or noncompliance.
- Owners are liable for injury or damage caused by their pet.
- Making Waves Okoboji is not responsible for lost, stolen, or injured pets unless due to proven negligence by crew.
